Sprawling over 100,000 square feet, the Small Animal Hospital is AAHA accredited and the Emergency & Critical Care Service is Level I certified by VECCS. We offer 15 specialty services to the over 39,000 patients seen yearly and are seeking technicians who have a strong interest and passion for a particular specialty in veterinary medicine. The Small Animal Hospital is a proud advocate of those wanting to continue to grow personally and professionally in the veterinary field and even those considering a technician specialty certification (VTS).Technicians should be motivated individuals who possess the drive to succeed in a busy hospital and have an interest in working in an educational environment.
Paid internship opportunities are also available in our Emergency & Critical Care and Anesthesia & Pain Management services. The program is designed to offer technicians the opportunity to increase their knowledge and gain experience in a specific discipline. Applications are due February 28th!
The Small Animal Hospital is also searching for support staff members that are enthusiastic about the exemplary care offered to patients who visit the Small Animal Hospital, and who are interested in strengthening the hospital-client relationship by providing support and excellent communication to clients, referring veterinarians, and the general public.
